Make Your Own Pottery Experience
Need something to do in Gatlinburg, TN? Want to learn basic pottery skills from an experienced Smoky Mountain potter? When you sign up for a Make Your Own Pottery class at Fowler’s Clay Works, you’ll be taught the process of wheel throwing and shown how to make your own clay creation.
Sign up for our Make a Mug Experience! Each class will start with an instructor lead lesson. After the lesson each person will be guided hand over hand through forming their own beverage mug. At the end of the forming process, you can shape a handle blank into the perfect shape for your one-of-a-kind mug.
The Make a Mug Experience typically lasts 1 to 2 hours. This pottery class costs $65 per person and covers everything you’ll need, including materials, shipping, and the class itself. When you are finished with your mug, your instructor will take your shipping information and glaze color of choice. You will typically receive your finished piece via USPS about 12 weeks after your class date.
The maximum size of each pottery class is 6 students. For parties larger than 6, please email us directly so we can accommodate you.
The minimum age for this class is 8 years old. Children also must have an adult taking the class with them.
The Make a Face Mug Experience typically lasts 2 hours. This sculpting class costs $85 per person and covers everything you’ll need, including materials, shipping, and the class itself.
